The most vulnerable children are receiving life-changing, holistic care. We are excited to partner with you to make a difference in the world - both near and far.
WHERE WE SERVE
The rescue center is home to over 100 children, with many supported by our child sponsorship program. It's the county's only children's home. Eight years ago, we joined forces when they faced challenges meeting the children's basic needs. Today, it provides exemplary care and sets the benchmark for quality standards in child welfare.
There are over 30 children residing at this children’s home and all come from traumatic backgrounds and situations. Hands with Hope is a vital resource in the community, providing loving care and safe shelter while working towards healthy family reunification. Our child sponsorship program meets urgent needs like food, shelter, education, and loving care.
Lemouo preschool serves 65 children from 4 to 8 years old. In this Massai tribal community, children often have no choice but to leave school and help herd cattle in order to provide food for their families. Through our comprehensive support program we’ve launched a feeding program serving two nutritious meals daily at the school. We also supply essential learning materials every term. With access to food, children are staying in school and thriving. With supplies like crayons, chalkboards and books, these young students have access to an education and enjoy a fun and fulfilling learning environment.
Kibera stands as Africa's largest slum with over 100,000 orphaned children living there. Yet, amidst the challenges, a ray of hope emerges—the Kibera Arts District. Here we have assisted with an after-school art program for children, creating a safe haven of community and nurturing their unique talents and self-esteem. Volunteer artists serve as mentors, teaching skills and guiding children toward potential careers in the arts.
In collaboration with our female partners, local businesswomen, and government leaders, we've launched the Virtual Leadership Academy for Girls (VLAG). Its mission is to empower a new generation of female leaders to positively impact their communities and the world. Through VLAG, young female students are discovering their unique strengths and abilities while breaking down societal barriers such as limited education, early marriage, and gender-based violence. These girls have become empowered voices of change, transforming their futures and inspiring those around them.
